I suspect that it won’t be long before we are walking into our kitchens, and telling our refrigerators that we’d be delighted to have it serve us up a slice of tasty cheese pizza, with a side of hot fudge sundae for dessert.
And, it just might not be as far-fetched as it first seems. Already there are drones delivering pizzas. There is even a 3D printer by Foodini that will make a pizza from scratch.

While 3D food printing is very much still in its infancy, this could be the beginning of this seemingly sci-fi ability to have food created on demand.
To point, there is also a new device by PancakeBot that is creating amazingly intricate designs out of pancake batter. Edible pancake art, if you will.
Food and technology AND art?!?! I’ll take one! Unfortunately—you can’t buy them yet. But, if you are a science geek at heart, and love a good Lego project, PancakeBot’s creators have developed a version made from Legos and an Arduino microcontroller, and have posted the building instructions online for free.
