I am very excited to share the Young Audiences of North California with you, as I have recently been elected to service as a board member.
As a commercial photographer, I can trace my foundation in the arts back to my solid public school education, where I was able to explore and begin my lifelong appreciation for the creative process. This began in elementary school, with Mrs. K’s art classes, and culminated in a BFA from the University of Arizona, under the amazing guidance of Harold Jones (www.haroldhjones.com).
The YANC organization has made a name for itself by offering quality arts programming within the benchmarks of California public schools. Whether it is assemblies, workshops or teacher development, YANC is a stop gap in the ever increasing budget cuts to arts programs.
I am passionate about this type of exposure and education, so I am delighted to share more agenda items as they come up on my social media sites.
If you want to learn more, get involved, or contribute is some way, you can read about their mission here: ya-nc.org.
