Last week, I had the pleasure of reviewing portfolios at theSpring Graduation for Academy of Art University, where I’ve been teaching for 10 years now (oy!). The school had some other amazing reviewers on-site, so I feel the students are very fortunate to get such quality feedback from this caliber of reviewer: Gregg Lhotsky from Bernstein Andriulli, Cat Jimenez from The Lucie Foundation, Bill Cramer from Wonderful Machine and Kate Chase from Tidepool Reps.

I met some great students, saw some really interesting work, and saw that light in the eyes of hopefuls looking to carve a path for their artistic voyage through life. It’s a little contagious – I’m sure you remember that feeling, right?

I wanted to share with you some of their names and work samples, in case they pop up in a commercial/fine art environment nearby soon. No editing done here; this is a round up of each emerging photographer I met with and one of their favorite images in their book.
