It’s that exciting time of year when the awards for Good Food are announced! The Good Food Awards take place in San Francisco, and are special because they celebrate not only foods that taste great, but those that honor social and environmental responsibility, too. These awards take a comprehensive view of the food and proprietors, noting that “truly good food brings people together and builds strong, healthy communities.”
How fun that Paul Bertolli’s Fra’Mani Handcrafted Foods makes the list. I actually had the honor of shooting him when he was a wee tot for a New York Times article when he owned Oliveto in the East Bay.
It was fun to go back through my archives to find the contact sheets from this shoot. Just imagine that my assistant that day was a vegetarian. :)
Below are some of my favorite categories…what girl doesn’t like chocolate, cheese, meats and sweets? However, you can view the entire list here.
