There’s been some heated coverage lately in sources such as the New York Times that question the lack of press coverage for female chefs.
The hot topic has arisen due to Time Magazine's recent story, which appears to be male-centric.
Chefs David Chang (Momofuku), Alex Atala (D.O.M.), and René Redzepi (Noma), all of whom are amazing in their own way, are on the cover of the Nov. 18 issue, titled: "The Gods of Food: Meet the People Who Influence What (and How) You Eat."
Within an entire list of male influences, the only female profiled as someone who is an “Influencer” is Aida Batlle, a fifth generation coffee producer in El Salvador.
I know first hand, as I’m sure you do, that there are some stellar women chefs in the kitchen right now. For example, Michelle Bernstein (who I’ve photographed for Ocean Drive Magazine and shown below), Alice Waters, and Cindy Pawlcyn.

Who are your favorites? If you have any, I’d love to hear from you!
